Good questions.
Do I need a paid Coda plan?
No. You need a Coda account and an API token (free to generate in your Coda account settings). It works with free Coda plans.
Where does my data go? Is it safe?
Your token and your table data stay on your device and talk only to Coda's official API over HTTPS. There are no analytics, no ads, and no servers of ours — we never receive your data. See our privacy policy.
Is this made by Coda?
No. Widget for Coda is an independent, third-party app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Coda.
Is there a subscription?
Never. It's a one-time purchase with free updates.
Can I show more than one table?
Yes. Create multiple profiles with different tables, tokens and styles, and place several widgets at once.
Does it work with a doc-restricted API token?
Yes. If your token is limited to a single document (so it can't list your docs), turn on “Document-Restricted Token” and paste that doc's ID — in a URL like https://coda.io/d/_dAAAAbbbb the ID is AAAAbbbb. Give each restricted doc its own profile and you can work with several docs side by side, each with its own limited token. A token restricted to only a single table isn't supported — it needs to reach the whole document.
What can I edit from the app?
Text, numbers (currency, percent, duration), dates & times, single and multi selects, checkboxes, scale/rating fields, people, and relations — plus you can run your Coda buttons (like "mark done") straight from a row.

Editable: text, numbers (currency/percent/duration), dates & times, single and multi selects, scale/rating, checkboxes, people, and relations (including reverse relations). Shown in the app as read-only: images, file attachments (tap to open), and progress bars. Button columns run their action straight from a row.
Can I group, sort, or use a checklist?
Yes. In the in-app list you can group by any column (including a parent relation, to nest subtasks under their task), sort within groups, choose the group order, and switch to a compact checklist view that puts a live checkbox up front so you can tick items done. Groups are collapsible, with a quick-add on each.
Can I use it on a tablet?
Yes — and it's one of the best ways to use it. On a tablet the full in-app lists and cards turn a spare device into a live, always-on board for tasks, orders, inventory or a CRM, backed by your Coda doc. Prop it on a desk, counter, or wall and a whole team can view, add, edit and complete rows without ever opening a browser.
